Terms of service

These terms apply when you use ActShadow, the accounting, VAT and tax software at accounts.actshadow.online, and this website. By requesting an account or using the software you agree to them.

The service

ActShadow lets a business record its accounts, VAT, tax and stock and prepare reports, statements and forms from those records. The services available to you depend on your plan.

Your account

Give correct company details when you request an account. You are responsible for your username and password and for everything done with logins you create for your staff. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Plans and payment

Prices are shown on this website and in the software, and include VAT and all applicable taxes.

Pay by bKash, Nagad, Rocket or bank transfer and enter the transaction ID on your Subscription page. Your plan starts or is extended once we have checked the payment, and a money receipt is placed in your account.

We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.

Renewal, grace period and read-only mode

Your plan runs until the paid-until date shown in the software. We remind you during the last seven days. After the date you can keep working normally for seven more days. If you have not renewed by then, the account becomes read-only: you can still view, print and download your records, but you cannot add or change them until you renew. We do not delete the records of an expired account without telling you first.

Your data

The records you enter belong to you. We use them only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. You can print your reports or save them as PDF at any time, and on the paid plans download them to Excel.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of your entries and for your statutory filings and payments. ActShadow is a tool, not professional advice. The VAT forms follow the VAT and Supplementary Duty Rules, 2016, as amended; check the figures against IVAS and the applicable law before you file.

Acceptable use

Do not use ActShadow for anything unlawful.
Do not try to reach another company’s data, break or test our security, or overload the service.
Do not resell or share access to the software without our written permission.

Availability and backups

We aim to keep ActShadow available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or reasons outside our control. The whole database is backed up every day. We cannot promise that the service will never be interrupted or that no data will ever be lost.

Suspension and closing an account

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk; where we can, we will warn you first. You may ask us to close your account at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will show the new date on this page and, for important changes, tell you in the software.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction.
